About Isobel

Hello, thank you for taking an interest in the girl behind the camera at Isobel Challis Photography.

I began my career in the recruitment industry in London when I was just 19, focusing on Architecture and Interior design. I genuinely loved the corporate vibe at the time. It was fulfilling seeing my hard work pay off, helping me buy my first home and develop business skills along the way. However, I soon came to realise that it wouldn’t offer the work-life balance I really wanted once I started a family. It was during my honeymoon in 2012 when I purchased my first camera that I discovered a hidden creative passion for photography and I haven’t look back since. With over a decade of experience in the photography industry and a background in business sales, I have naturally transitioned into helping families create timeless heirloom memories. Additionally, I found myself wanting to support other businesses in telling their unique stories through stunning imagery for their website and social media platforms.

My family...

I am a wife to Matthew Challis and mother to two awesome little ladies Sienna and Aria. Sienna my eldest is fed up of me taking photos of her but Aria loves being in front and behind the camera, which of course makes me so happy.

As a family, we like the simple things in life. We love dining out, being outdoors, travelling and spending lots of time with family and friends.
And whenever I can, I love to watch the sunsets or sunrises with my family. These moments allow us to pause, reflect, and feel grateful for the simple blessings in life.

Aside from my family and passion for photography, I enjoy creating textured art, it has become my personal sanctuary where I find peace from the hectic world around me. It also allows me to make something beautiful for people to enjoy in their homes.

My family images were taken by my incredibly talented friend Hiral Jethwa – I will be forever grateful for the memories she has created for us.
